• No, neither location has showers.

  • We provide mats, towels, and all the props you need for class. There is not a mat rental fee. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you choose.

For students with a monthly membership, we offer complimentary mat storage at either location. Please ensure your name is written on your mat.

  • Please bring your water bottle. We do not offer cups in an effort to reduce waste!

  • Follow this link. If you do this any time PRIOR to the start of class, the class will revert to your account to use another time. If you prefer the dollar amount be applied to your Kula account, please email jen@kulayoga.com. We do not offer refunds.

  • Follow these instructions. We ask that you self-manage this please!

  • We recommend Squaremouth, an aggregator site similar to Skyscanner. Click here to explore the options on their site. No one books a retreat, training, or event with the intention of cancelling it, and we require our attendees to secure their own travel insurance when booking any of these things through Kula.

  • We do. It is very unlikely that we are going to hire someone who has never been to Kula, or who has been only a handful of times. We value consistently and a weekly commitment.

Teaching: Our teachers have largely been with us for over a decade. Most of them have done either our in-house 200 Hour Teacher Training, Kula Flow Foundations, or our Advanced 75 Hour The Art of Teaching Kula Style Yoga Teacher Training.

Front desk: We have paid shifts and work/trade opportunities from time to time. Email us and specify the locations and hours you are interested in working. Again, we prioritize those who can make a weekly commitment to the same shift.

  • Mysore Ashtanga Yoga is the system of yoga founded by the late K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India and continued through the living legacy of his family Sharath, Saraswathi, and Manju Jois as well as his senior students and disciples. A Mysore practice allows students to learn and practice one on one with a teacher through one of the asana sequences of Ashtanga Yoga. This allows the student to self-practice and do the practice in a way that is appropriate and/or therapeutic for their particular needs. Mysore practice is for everyone and is the place to learn the practice. Led class is generally not recommended for someone completely new to the Ashtanga practice. First-time Ashtanga students should start by attending Mysore classes and learning the sequence posture by posture. First-timers should plan to come when it is convenient for them between 6.30 and 8am. Please speak to the teacher directly before signing up for the Led style classes.
Please feel free to reach out directly via email to Augustine Kim, our beloved friend and Ashtanga teacher, who has taught this program at Kula for over 15 years. He can be reached at apo130max@yahoo.com.

  • We do rent space! Email jen@kulayoga.com and/or nikki@kulayoga.com for more details.

Please specify the location you are interested in and how much flexibility you have on days/times. Our larger studios generally rent for $125/hour; smaller rooms at our SoHo location generally rent for $25/hour and are ideal for one on one bodywork or a private yoga or massage session. Table provided.

All renters must have insurance. Detailed instructions regarding the COIs that we require can be found here. Please familiarize yourself with our insurance requirements prior to reaching out.
